To enhance mobility, expand transportation options and support economic development, Compass Rail combines existing MassDOT-supported services (like us) with new, proposed services in a unified vision.

Amtrak Connection Bus
To extend the reach of our service to a wider selection of destinations, Amtrak Connection bus service was established with guaranteed connections to Amtrak trains. Currently, we offer a dedicated bus connection between Providence, RI and Worcester, MA-you can book your ticket on Amtrak.com, through the Amtrak app, by phone or at the station. Bus passengers must be ticketed before boarding. Like our trains, our buses have comfortable reclining seats, at-seat electrical outlets, an onboard restroom and Wi-Fi.
